This place is fantastic, authentic, and overall an amazing comfort food. I ordered one of their soups - the Zhou's beef one - and added a marinated egg. It was sooo good! The broth is very nice, not too thick. The noodles are great, and the beef was well cooked. The egg was super well marinated and really added to the flavor. I would love to eat here again if I come back to town.
The ambiance is nice, and all of the employees are very friendly. Each table has the cute buttons to call the waiter when you're ready to order or pay. Each table also had some spices, sauces, cards, and napkins. The interior looks like a typical Chinese restaurant, which was pretty calming in my opinion. Really loved it! -

Oh. My gosh. This is delicious.
Interior is interesting, to say the least. It matches cheap prints of traditional-looking artwork with post-its left my customers, hello kitty, and tablecloths labeled "The Deer." This sort of discombobulation is something I find absolutely charming.
I ordered the Kim's Noodle Soup, and the gf ordered Zhao's. They were both delicious. We added marinated eggs - a must have!
The pork buns (or "bums" as one of the menus said) were also outstanding. Soft and sweet and just phenomenal.
I also tried the original milk tea with boba. I asked for mine "not too sweet" and it was absolutely perfect (for reference, I order a level 1 or 25-50% sweet at most boba places). Caramely, but you could still taste the tea.
Service was not the highlight, but it was busy (and it didn't need to be). The rest of this place and the food is plenty a reason to come back! -

I saw another review from an "Elite" member saying they were hoping for Nashville's noodle scene after visiting this place. It's authentic but not sure it helps the noodle scene.
It's next to Vandy and the authenticity is there but not sure the students want that. I went on a Monday night at 8pm and there was only one more table sat besides me.
The broth was great. I got the tomato sirloin with a little spice. The sirloin was fatty and not flavored outside the broth. The noodles were good. Vegetables were fresh. If I came back I'd try a different protein. -

A wonderfully authentic restaurant tucked away off 21st! I had been dying to try this restaurant and it was even better than I imagined. My boyfriend and I shared the shanghai steamed buns- beautifully soft, filled with flavorful meat, and paired with a sweet chili sauce- and the steak noodles, which were slightly spicier than expected but still delicious! The meat was very tender and delicious, and of course the noodles and bok choy were flavored by the broth, which was our favorite part. We were both on the tail end of colds, so the noodles were very soothing and great for clearing the sinuses!
The only downside was the service. It was very confusing walking in because the host station was between two tables in the middle of the room, and no one was standing there! We stood awkwardly in the front of the restaurant waiting for a few minutes. All the waiters were running around and nobody spoke to us until they cleared off a table and pointed for us to sit. At the tables, there were pagers for the waiter with buttons to call, order, and pay, so that was very convenient (although it felt a little impersonal, but it's a common practice in China)!
Even with the slight inconvenience of service, I'm super excited to go back again and try something new! -

Meet Noodles is def one of the most authentic places to get noodles in Nashville. I was especially hungry tonight and ordered the pumpkin cake snacks and the Kim's Beef Noodles.
When the noodles came out, I was completely shocked about the size of the bowl! They give you a lot (and I was very excited)... The beef was a little chewy, but with a little adrenaline and some Superman strength, it was easy to get through and was delicious!
Now the pumpkin cake snacks... These were the star of the night for sure. These piping hot bite sized cakes were both crispy and soft, savory and sweet, and definitely more of a dessert than a snack/appetizer. Seriously... I could probably order 3 servings and eat them all and be happy with just that for dinner. You. Must. Try. Them. ASAP
